Parents attending the celebration said choosing a school is one of the most important decisions for a family. They explained that they selected Ahazaza Independent School because of its reputation for academic excellence, discipline and holistic child development.
One parent said the school has fulfilled the expectations they had when enrolling their children.
"We chose Ahazaza Independent School because we wanted a school that offers not only academic excellence but also strong values and holistic development. Over the years, we have seen our expectations fulfilled through the quality of education and the care our children receive."
The parent added that families also have a major role to play in ensuring children succeed at school.
"Parents also have a responsibility in their children's success. By working closely with the school, supporting learning at home, and staying involved in our children's education, we can help them reach their full potential."
The Head of School, Franswa Hamenyimana, said Ahazaza Independent School has spent the last two decades building a culture of excellence by providing students with quality education and the skills they need to compete nationally and internationally. He also noted that the school supports children from disadvantaged families so they can access quality education.
The President of Ahazaza Independent School, Richard Luff, said the school's mission has always been to educate young people who will positively contribute to society.
"For the past 20 years, Ahazaza Independent School has remained committed to providing quality, inclusive education that equips learners with the knowledge, values, and confidence to succeed wherever life takes them. Our goal has never been simply to educate children, but to help shape responsible citizens and future leaders."
Luff said the school will continue expanding opportunities for all children while maintaining high academic standards.
"As we celebrate this milestone, we are proud of the achievements of our students and alumni, but even more determined to continue expanding opportunities for every child, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, because quality education should be accessible to all."
The Southern Province Education Coordinator, Christophe Nsengiyaremye, encouraged parents to remain actively involved in their children's education. He said parents should continue supporting their children by providing what they need to learn and by working closely with schools to help them achieve their full potential.
Ahazaza Independent School currently has 617 students and 41 teachers. The school offers internationally recognized education through three academic programmes: the Cambridge Programme, the DELF Programme for French language learning, and a strong language education programme.
Since its establishment, 335 students have graduated from the school. The institution has also maintained strong performance in national and international examinations, reinforcing its reputation as one of Rwanda's leading private schools committed to academic excellence and the holistic development of young people.
